PRESCHEDULING

With a long-term collaboration comes repeating orders, hence planning ahead and scheduling deliveries beforehand are essential in order to maintain a regular rhythm and prevent the supply chain from being disrupted.

At EW, we ensure that we are able to fulfill our part, and buying in bulk and arranging shipping help to avoid any possible delays and save costs. Managing multiple projects simultaneously can be a tricky task, therefore each one needs to be organized and follows a tight forethought schedule with fallback plans in case of any unpredictable event.

Here is another 10k PCB shipment to Israel following a trimonthly scheduled order for one of our long-term projects in the medical field!

It’s our pleasure to provide continuous reliable services to our partners.

The Chinese New Year (“CNY”) is the most important holiday in the Chinese calendar and lasts for a full week, this time it falls on January 21st to 27th of next year. Although it may seem that this duration is manageable for businesses to foresee, it is crucial to take into account all the events surrounding this holiday. This period of time is significant for Chinese people and for factory workers, as it is the only time of year when they have an extended holiday to be able to go back to their hometown and see their relatives. Indeed, most Chinese people work hard and far from their homes and are able to go back only once a year. Some people also see the new year as a fresh start to improve their living situation and leave their job to look for new career opportunities.

So what seems like a week’s time is in fact a whole month of production’s cessation, as well as work schedule and personnel change. What it means for companies manufacturing or sourcing in China, is that factories won’t be operational for roughly a month, have backed up orders following CNY, and the logistics’ prices will raise exponentially. Moreover, it is not uncommon to have people in the factories, whom you’ve been working and in contact with, leave the factory during the CNY.

As time gets closer to CNY, the quality standard of factories tends to drop. The main reasons are that they’re trying to fulfill their committed duties as well as produce as much as they can before going on a hiatus. Factories will manufacture in abundance to counter the holiday empty phase, and face employee shortages. As a result, we believe it is best to avoid going into production too close to this holiday.

While CNY is a very stressful time for businesses working with China, there are ways to prevent any breaches of the supply chain. We are now 3 months ahead of the holiday and the EW team started to pre-schedule mass productions for deliveries expected as far as next year of April.

Since EW has multiple ongoing projects with monthly shipping, we can’t afford to have our supply chain disrupted. All productions are dealt with and planned in advance, and everything is implemented in order to not collide with the timeline of the holiday. Being able to carry out a tight schedule beforehand permits us to save costs and time to alleviate the pressure off the busy months ahead.

Thanks to our multicultural team and our years of experience working with the Chinese market, we understand the meaning, as well as the importance, of the biggest Holiday in China, personally and professionally. For businesses abroad looking to work with China, they have to take into consideration that with the number of postponed projects and productions scheduled behind the CNY, Chinese factories will be overloaded. For this reason, we advise businesses who are looking to find supplies or to manufacture in China and expect their goods to be delivered as soon as April 2022, to start their process this month.
